Life in a PU Hostel!

Panjab University, Chandigarh is famous because of many of its things like infrastructure, food, crowd and many other things and among these are its famous hostels. So basically how is life in a pu hostel?
To say the least it is happening and interesting. The hostels are an integral part of the life of a student where he has to live with new people in a new environment. And the hostels at PU provide the same. A new and interesting place with people of many age groups, fields and intrests. The seniors here are helpful and are provide every information you want.
Then comes the food and although it's nothing spectacular but it still is good enough. The free and fast WiFi also is a really good feature of the hostels.
And around the elections time, you also come across one more kind of people here, the politicians. The ones who come with all sorts of tactics to lure you. Theese people can show up on your door at any possible time even 3 in the morning. They talk to you about ideologies and all sorts of things and become frequent visitors. Also around this time raids are conducted in hostels to get hold of illegal immigrants.
Being a fresher and have spent a few months in the hostel, all I can say is that the experience has been enjoyable, memorable and even thrilling for this time.

All Alone

Here I am, all alone
Walking along like a mindless drone
The streets are dark, the lights dim
And the night forbidden and grim
The doors of sanity are shut tight
The voices in my head scream at night
Everything here is violent but quiet
And I drag along the demons I fight
The further I walk, the darker it gets
Here my facades no longer exist
I hear a muffed sound, while I stand on the ground
Into which I want to dive and drown
The sound becomes unbearable,
‘It’s nothing’, say the voices terrible.
Nothing but a child’s scream.
This was no dream.
I still walk a while, hoping to find a clue
But only if I knew
The boy was a step behind
I ran to the voice wanting to be found,
But what I found, not making a sound a sound,
Was a boy on the floor
Screaming, panting, breathing no more.
And above him, standing in gore
With a knife and a mind far from sane
Little did I know, the boy lying low
Was me and the one above even more so.
